I have enjoyed being part of the Coast Chiropractic Team since 1994 and feel very blessed to have been surrounded by such an inspiring, talented and caring group of chiropractors and chiropractic assistants. I have a true passion and belief in chiropractic and am grateful for the tools it has given me in helping many individuals and families to reach their optimum health goals and beyond.

I grew up in Melbourne, and after I finished studying Chiropractic I came to the Sunshine Coast for 6 weeks – and never went back!
I worked as a locum around Australia and overseas for 6 years, and joined the Coast Chiropractic Kawana team in 2000. I feel honoured and proud to be a member of such an amazing team, and to play a part in helping so many individuals and families achieve their health goals through Chiropractic. When I’m not in the office, or at home being a wife and mum, you’ll find me on the beach or in the gym!

After graduating in 1996, I spent the first seven years of my chiropractic life in the UK. In 2003, my husband, Ben, and I emigrated here to the Sunshine Coast and I joined the CCK team. It is an inspiration and privilege to continue my journey with amazing and like-minded people.

Hi my name is Derm O'Brien and I’ve been fortunate enough to join the team here at Coast Chiropractic Kawana.
I’m originally from Hughenden in North West Queensland and spent some time working around the region there while I was working the shearing industry. Following this I travelled overseas for 4 years and thoroughly enjoyed myself, but in the end it was time to return home.
Upon returning from overseas I chose to pursue chiropractic as a career after meeting a number of enthusiastic chiros; Sally Battle & Mark Postles among them. This choice led me to New Zealand to study.
Having enjoyed my time in New Zealand for 5 years, I was looking forward to being closer to my family and enjoying sunny Queensland once again. I have joined the amazing Coast Chiropractic team and I look forward to meeting you all as you come in for care.
Cheers Derm

Hi!
I first came to Coast Chiropractic Kawana as an ‘observer’ in June 2007 when my partner Neal started care with Mark Postles, and I can honestly say I was fascinated by what I saw.
I started care myself prior to a trip to Peru as I was experiencing headaches that I imagined would only worsen lugging a backpack along the Inca Trail!
Little did I know at the time that our enjoyable weekly visits would end up in a career change for me! I have enjoyed working as part of the wonderful team here at CCK as a Chiropractic Assistant since early December 2007.
I love working with the lovely people who visit our office and getting to know them all, and I am looking forward to learning more about this amazing form of healing. Who knows where else it may lead!
I am really enjoying living back on the Sunshine Coast with my Kiwi partner Neal, after many long years away during which I have lived in Melbourne and rural South Australia. I also spent time living in Edinburgh, Scotland (which I absolutely loved) from where I travelled throughout Europe, Scandinavia and Russia and also Africa.

Some very tense days stemming from my family's move from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast (2007), led to my family being referred to Mark Postles.
I received an adjustment and NET with an immediate and dramatic improvement in my outlook of the Sunshine Coast.
After observing the care provided at Coast Chiropractic Kawana, in my role as Chiropractic Assistant, I decided that becoming a Chiropractor was the right career for me.
I am currently studying at Mountain Creek State High School, completing year 12 and the Head Start Program at the University of Sunshine Coast.
In 2009 I will complete the pre-requisites at the University of the Sunshine Coast for 2010 studies at the Chiropractic College in New Zealand.

I was introduced to the world of Chiropractic 6 years ago, following a serious car accident which left me with severe neck and back injuries.
Over the years I have continued to benefit tremendously from chiropractic care; physically, mentally and emotionally.
I have grown to love all that chiropractic stands for and for this reason I have decided to become a chiropractor. I am currently in my first year of study and am excited about my journey ahead!
One of my favourite things to do is spread the “chiropractic love” ... and what better place to do this than at CCK!

Chiropractic has been part of my life since joining Mark at Palmer College in 1972, where I completed the CA Program (Chiropractic Assistant). I am privileged to be part of the fantastic CCK team sharing the gift of chiropractic care. My role is in the accounting and administration areas.
